HELPFUL ADVICE

Questions? You’re in the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is completely understandable to have questions before beginning physiotherapy or joining a class. I have answered some of the questions I am most often asked below.

If you cannot find the information you need, please contact me. I will be happy to help you decide what your next step should be.

Getting started

I’m not sure which service is right for me. What should I do?

You can learn more about the support I offer on the Services page. If you are still unsure, please contact me or give me a call. I will be happy to talk through your needs and help you decide on an appropriate next step.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can contact me without a referral from your GP.

If another healthcare professional has given you information that may be relevant to your care, you are welcome to bring it with you.

Are your services only for older adults?

No. I work with adults of different ages and abilities, although many of the people I support are older adults who want to remain strong, mobile and confident in everyday life.

Are the classes suitable for beginners?

Yes. You do not need previous exercise or class experience. The aim is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where you can work at an appropriate level.

If you are uncertain about joining a class, please contact me before booking.

What if I have not exercised for a long time?

That is not a problem. Many people feel unsure when returning to exercise after a long break. We can begin at a manageable level and focus on helping you move safely and confidently.

Services and appointments

Where can I learn about the services you offer?

You can find an overview of my current physiotherapy services and classes on the Services page.

Because availability can change, please use the Booking page to see what appointments and classes are currently available.

How can I see which appointments and classes are available?

The Booking page contains the most up-to-date information about current appointments, classes and availability.

If you have questions before booking, please contact me and I will be happy to help.

Can I contact you before making a booking?

Yes. If you are unsure about a service, class or appointment, please send me a message or give me a call. I will usually respond within one working day.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Supportive, comfortable footwear is also recommended for exercise classes and most appointments.

If you need to bring anything specific, I will let you know in advance.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring any information you feel may be relevant, such as a list of medications, previous reports or information provided by another healthcare professional.

You may also wish to write down any questions you would like to ask.

Changes and cancellations

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?

I understand that plans sometimes change. Please give at least one week’s notice whenever possible so that the appointment or class place can be offered to someone else.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged. Please contact me as soon as you know that you cannot attend.

What happens if I miss an appointment or class?

If you do not attend and have not contacted me beforehand, you may still be charged for the booking.

If something unexpected happens, please let me know as soon as you can.

Payments and receipts

Can I receive a receipt for my physiotherapy appointment?

Yes. I can provide a receipt that you may submit to your health insurer, depending on your policy and level of cover.

I recommend checking directly with your insurer if you are unsure about your benefits.

How can I find current prices?

Please visit the Booking page for the latest available appointments, classes and prices. You can also contact me if you need any clarification before booking.
