ABOUT AOIFE

Movement should help you feel more confident in your life.

aoife meet 2
I’m Aoife O’Driscoll, a Chartered Physiotherapist and proud Limerick woman. I support people who want to move more comfortably, build confidence and continue doing the everyday activities that matter to them.

My approach is professional and personal. I take time to listen, understand your concerns and find a way forward that feels right for you.

You do not need to have everything worked out before getting in touch. We can begin with a conversation about what you are finding difficult, what you would like to achieve and the kind of support that would feel most useful.

camino

FROM SCIENCE TO PHYSIOTHERAPY

A change of direction that brought me closer to people.

I first studied Industrial Chemistry at the University of Limerick and went on to build a successful career in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industries.

While walking the French Camino de Santiago, I began thinking seriously about changing direction. I wanted a career that would allow me to work more closely with people and make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

I returned to the University of Limerick to study physiotherapy. During my university breaks, I also walked sections of the Portuguese Camino, giving me time to clear my head, reconnect with nature and prepare for the next stage of the journey.

MY EXPERIENCE

Learning, listening and bringing that experience home.
After qualifying as a physiotherapist, I moved to the UK and worked with the NHS at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.

I gained experience across orthopaedic, respiratory, musculoskeletal and community physiotherapy. I also trained in respiratory physiotherapy and worked within intensive care during the pandemic.

I returned to Ireland in 2021 and later worked within the HSE, where much of my work involved supporting older people with mobility, rehabilitation, strength and balance.

That experience helped me understand how important continued support can be when someone returns home or wants to remain active and independent.

I was delighted to receive Business All-Star Rising Star Physiotherapy recognition in 2026.

For me, this recognition reflects the care, work and community support that have helped Aoife O’Driscoll Physiotherapy grow. I am very grateful to everyone who has attended a class, trusted me with their care or recommended my services to someone else.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

Outside physiotherapy, some of my favourite things are walking and talking, swimming, music and spending time in nature.

People and their stories have always interested me. That sense of connection is a very important part of who I am and how I work.
